With Tom’s expertise as an electrician and Molly’s knack for making things happen, we’ve helped over 200 Christchurch locals—from Methven to Waipara—turn their rooftops into power-generating machines. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do, from designing energy-smart systems to running electric vans. We’re here to make solar simple, reliable, and right for Canterbury.

Founder | Electrician
Tom’s the ultimate problem solver—if there’s a way to make something work, he’ll find it. He’s been leading Christchurch Solar from day one, bringing his skills, smarts, and plenty of good yarns along the way. When he’s not designing solar systems, you’ll find him on the slopes of Mt Hutt.
Jake
Design and Solutions
Jake lives and breathes solar. Coming from a hands-on background as a solar electrician, he’s all about smart, solution-based designs that just work. When he’s not fine-tuning solar systems, you’ll find him in the gym or knee-deep in his latest home reno.
Joy
Operations Manager
When it comes to operations and customer service, Joy’s your go-to—she’s got the friendly, can-do attitude that keeps everything running smoothly. Outside of work, you’ll find her at home, cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
Mark

With years of solar experience under his belt, Mark takes pride in installing to the highest standard. When he’s not delivering top-notch installs, he’s having fun with his twin boys, always finding cool new things to do together.
Fergus

After making the move from general electrics, Fergus now thrives on the challenges and technical elements of solar installations. A down-to-earth, genuine guy, he spends his spare time getting stuck into the garden and chatting to his plants - which he says makes them grow stronger!

Dougie’s a pro when it comes to working on roofs, always finding clever ways to make solar installs look sharper, work better, and run more efficiently. With a true spark for life, he’s a thrill-seeker who loves skydiving and tackling new challenges—both in the air and on the job.
